During this class, children will learn about:
Traditional yoga stretches
Movements with or without music
Breathing exercises in combination with play
Interactive exercises, where sharing is important
Mindfulness exercises for reflection.
Yoga is also a way to turn inward. This way, the child learns that it is okay to relax in between daily activities. With the interactive exercises children can express themselves and play, alternated with sharing their experiences with the other kids.
With regular yoga practice, a child can feel vital and relaxed and can have a more positive mood. There are several studies that show that yoga can reduce the anxiety or stress level of children.
