Loes Overdijk

Hi, I’m Loes. As a child I knew I wanted to be a teacher. When I was 7 years old I started with jazz/musical lessons and 3 years later with tap dancing. When I was 13 I ended up at the Leiden Ballet School, where my passion for the dance profession became even greater.

After my secondary school education I started with the PABO, but because the dance profession continued to attract me, I decided after obtaining my propaedeutic certificate to audition for the DTD (teacher of theater dance) training at the Theater School in Amsterdam. I graduated in 2008 and have taught at the Leidse Ballet & Theater School since the start of my education at the theater school.
Besides teaching at the Leiden Ballet & Theater School, I also have my own dance school in Wassenaar.

I teach jazz, tap, modern, musical, street dance, improv/compo, toddler dance, ADV and I have also obtained several zumba diplomas (basic 1, basic 2, zumba kids and zumba gold).

At the Leiden Ballet & Theater School I teach different styles of preparatory classes, toddler dance lessons and Song & Dance on Saturday mornings, and I am also co-coordinator of the preparatory education.
