From February, De Leidse Ballet & Theaterschool from Leiden and DC dance from Leiderdorp are collaborating on a project with 2 of their most talented groups in the age of 13-18 years. These 2 groups have already started making pieces (contemporary and commercial) with well-known choreographers to show sequels in their performances.
The 2 choreographers are:
Laurent Flament (contemporary), well-known choreographer of the TV programs SYTYCD and The Ultimate Dance Battle and of West Side Story, Sound of Music and Annie from the theatre.
Meyline Schuurs (commercial), who has previously choreographed for Broederliefde, Sharon Doorson, Jandino Asporaat and more.
It is a trial, but it has already turned out to be a great project in which different dance talents meet and enrich each other.
