Hi Hi! I’m Ian! I started with an amateur musical group. Here it was soon said that I had to do more with dance, singing and acting. That’s why I started dancing, first in the dance class of the Leonardo College, then in the preparatory training of the Leiden Ballet & Theater School.
In 2010 I was accepted at the Amsterdam University of the Arts (Jazz musical dance). During this training I had the opportunity to work with many well-known choreographers. I graduated in 2014 as a performing dancer. I did my internship at the M’ lab in Amsterdam in the production Circus. In addition, I have taught and made choreographies for the dance classes of the Leonardo College (in collaboration with the Leiden Ballet & Theater School) and at other dance schools.
An open and pleasant working atmosphere is very important to me in my classes. It’s okay to make mistakes because that’s where you learn the most! Especially musicality, fun, experience, challenge and motor development are central to my lesson! Just enjoy yourself and if you keep enjoying it you will be fine!
I teach Fitdance at the Leiden Ballet & Theater School.
